in my orbit: harbour view house
Shout out to my very own Central Perk.
If you’re ever in doubt of my location whilst I’m in St Ives, it’s best to head straight to Harbour View House as your first port of call. It’s truly my home away from home.
And when I say home away from home, I’ve not-so-gradually made myself part of the furniture. I have a specific mug I like to order my coffee in (which has a habit of showing up before I’ve even ordered it), Chef makes me my favourite off-menu omelette with mushrooms, and after I went away on holiday for a week, the team told me it had been super quiet without me there. Take from that what you will.
But aside from their ability to make regulars feel like regulars, they’re an independent hotel and foodie spot that has a banging menu (which regularly takes me from breakfast burritos to beers, all in the same day).
So if you find yourself in my neck of the woods, be sure to pop in and say hi.
No doubt you’ll find me perched on my usual table.
